Retaurant: Red Kimono
Cuisine: Japanese
I
don’t have any plans of dining. Ambling
and window-shopping to nowhere at Ayala Mall.
I decided to buy my favorite magazine at Fully Booked when I found out
that May Issue for my favorite monthly mag was delayed till I landed at Red
Kimono.
Red
Kimono’s concept was a modern and at the same time bringing the elements of the
traditional Japanese cuisine. Red kimono operates seven (7) branches in the metropolis and beyond. The place
was totally awesome with deep-red painted walls and added by warm cozy lights
that make the place more elegant. Most dinners are tourists. Service crews are very friendly and neat looking. If you ask questions they politely answers.
Upon
handling the menu frankly speaking I don’t know what to order. Well, I’m a
Filipino and suddenly sat to this very fine Japanese restaurant. Browsing and choosing what to order was so
hard by looking at their delicious looking pictures. There this one dish that caught my attention
named after the famous youtube dance craze hit “Gwiyomi”. The dish was Kiyomi Maki it was lined or
classified with vegetarian maki’s (Yes,
I am a vegetarian on that day alone.) the taste was totally awesome. Kiyomi
Maki is a delicious vegetarian treat with mango, banana, takwan, asparagus,
cucumber and spring onions. It’s guilt free and it’s good for your heart!
Lastly,
for the dessert I asked the captain waiter on what to order. He say’s try our new Layered Sesame Ice
Cream. I said okay, I want that. Layered
Sesame Ice Cream was consisting of three (3) scoops of creamy sesame ice cream
sandwiched in a crispy oriental wafer accented with Japanese beans. The taste was really mouth watering and it’s
highly recommended!
